Spring skiing could not have been better We got some fresh snow and colder temperatures and then for the final weekend at Whitefish Mountain Resort, the temperatures were in the 50s and low 60s. Now, with the lifts shut down, those who enjoy skinning up may extend the season for some time yet while the rest of us await the tulips and budding trees. Snow in town is receding and there are tiny shoots of crocus and other spring bulbs trying to take a stand. Migratory birds returned to the Flathead and they tell us the season really is changing in spite of the blizzards across the state in late March.
With the arrival of spring, we know it is time to get serious about the next season's vacation planning. Dates are filling up for summer. If your plans include Amtrak transportation, book your lodging prior to getting rail tickets and ask us about discounts for the Empire Builder. Check the Alpine Theatre Project schedule for their full summer of offerings and plan to include a performance with a lodging package and ask us about spa packages so that you can reserve in advance for some pampering before or after taking to the trails. Check our website, www.goodmedicinelodge.com, for complete information on what you can expect from a stay with us.
Spring is a slower time in Whitefish, good for some great relaxation and a chance to watch the seasons change. Value rates are in effect until June 1. We refurbished four rooms and plan some landscaping enhancements. We added a new exterior sign last August and we're always adding to the herb garden which has just emmerged from it's blanket of snow. Thyme, Tarragon and Chives were the first to appear.
We look forward to welcoming you to Good Medicine Lodge and we would be happy to hear from you.

hi Betsy and Woody,
I just read Laura Munson's article in the NY Times, saw that she's from Whitefish, thought of you all, googled your b&b and then to your website and then saw little pictures of you all and then thought, "maybe we can have a twofer-a family vacation at your place some day and also have a reunion with you all." That would be really great.
Gotta roll down the hill to my office, on my old reliable bike, and begin a day of being with good people called "patients." Just had a flashback to Woody walking home from National Airport in the snow, Woody on the GW Parkway freezing after witnessing one driver shoot at another, lots of good times with our young, young, young families.
Hi and a big hug for all of you.
take good care, your friend, Pete

So good to hear from you. Thanks for checking out the Good Medicine Lodge website and Blog. We hope that you will plan a vacation/reunion in Whitefish. If we plan well, maybe we can get the kids, their spuses and their kids here at the same time! Love to each of you.
