Good Medicine Lodge takes the preservation and health of our environment seriously.  Our impact on the planet plays a large part in the business decisions we make each day. Over the years we have evolved in our green efforts.  We are charter members of the Green Hotel Association, a Glacier centennial Green Business, and we have been awarded Gold Status with Trip Advisor as a Green Leader. For your stay with us, we are happy to share the extent of our eco efforts and we offer the following earth friendly amenities which are most visable in our business practices.

Using bath amenities produced in containers that are bio-degradable. Our soaps are locally made and offered without packaging

Inviting guests to hang and reuse their bath linens for more than one day

For guests staying multiple nights we change bed linens after three nights unless requested to do otherwise

Buying energy star appliances and monitoring efficiency

Recycling glass, cardboard, plastic, and tin. We have made use of our own recycled glass in remodeling

Researching and purchasing local products for the preparation of our food

Installing single room heating and air conditioning units

Having an herb garden, buying produce from our local farmers, preserving food while it is in season

Using fluorescent and LED light bulbs

Turning down heating and air conditioning when rooms are empty

Making our cleaning products using green recipes

Using low VOC paints

Garden and Kitchen waste composting
