Situated in the authentic northwestern Montana town of Whitefish and in the heart of America's greatest outdoor recreational region, Good Medicine Lodge is only a few turns from Whitefish Mountain Resort, a short hike from Glacier Park, a paddle away from Whitefish River and Whitefish Lake, and a nine iron from the Flathead Valley's numerous golf courses.

Our six spacious rooms and three suites, most with balconies and mountain views, have private baths, vaulted wood ceilings and custom made lodgepole or iron beds. The flexible accommodations feature either king, queen, or twin arrangements and our largest suite can sleep five. A full breakfast is served each morning. Good Medicine Lodge is built of cedar timbers and has a perfect balance of elegance and warmth. Tastefully decorated in a western motif, exquisite and welcoming without pretense, the roomy interiors are punctuated by crackling fireplaces and solid wood furnishings with fabrics influenced by Native American textiles. For travelers' convenience, there is a guest laundry and ski room with boot and glove dryers.

Good Medicine Lodge has been named one of Travel America Magazine's "10 Most Romantic Inns", chosen by USA Today as one of "10 Great Places" to settle into for viewing fall colors, selected by BedandBreakfast.com for a "Best of the West" award and named to National Geographic Traveler's first annual "Stay List" having "A sense of place…with location-inspired architecture, ambiance, amenities, eco-stewardship and an ethic of giving back to the community."

We are Charter Members of the Green Hotel Association, now in its 19th year; listed as a Glacier Centennial Green Business; members of the Montana Bed and Breakfast Association and Montana Super Hosts. Good Medicine Lodge is wheelchair accessible and has air conditioning throughout. For our guests' enjoyment, we have an outdoor spa and fire pit. We can accommodate small meetings and offer full catering services. Wireless service and a guest computer are available.

Your hosts, Betsy and Woody Cox, spent most of their adult lives in careers, steeped in customer service experiences, that prepared them to be Innkeepers. With skills gained in education, agriculture, government, interior design and commercial aviation, they "retired" and came to Good Medicine Lodge where they, along with a fine staff, work together to make each guest's stay enjoyable and comfortable. They are available to offer guidance in selections of sights, dining, recreation, and activities and will welcome you graciously.

When passion and skill come together, it is possible to exceed expectations. We are here to help you discover the amazing secrets of Northwestern Montana, the authentic charm that is Whitefish and the genuine warmth that comes with the hospitality of Good Medicine Lodge.
